- I was born in Athens in 1961.1 studied guitar with Lisa Zoe and theory of music at the Athens National Conservatoire.
- In 1980 I met the group of Simonas Karras and I was motivated to study the Greek traditional music and traditional musical instruments such as oud, Constantinople and mainland lute, saz, tambouras and tampuras with a bow, Constantinople and Cretan lyre, Cappadocian kemanes, nei, kavali (flue), fife etc.
- In 1985, as a founder member of the group "Dinameis tou Egeou", I began a creative course on tradition as well as on the musical trends of contemporary music. Along with the release of three CDs, Dinameis tou Egeou 1985, Ehos Β 1985 [EMI] and Anatoliko parathiro 1989 [MBI], the group gave concerts in Greece, Europe, America and Australia until 1991 when it split up.
- I worked along with many musicians, singers and composers of the older as well as the younger generation: (M. Hatzidakis, D. Sawopoulos, G. Markopoulos, N. Xidakis, N. Mamagakis, G. Hatzinasios, D. Maragopoulos, N. Kipourgos, M. Farantouri, E. Arvanitaki, S. Giannatou, L. Kalimeri, M. Lidakis, A. Ioannides, Elias Liougos, S. Papazoglou, K. Papadopoulou, K. Koulia, G. Haroulis.
- I also worked along with many important representatives of the traditional music: (Simon Karras, Chronis Aedonodes, Domna Samiou, N. Saragoudas, Mario, Psarantonis, M. Tzouganakis, G. Amarantides, M. Kaliontzides) and along with all the young skilled musicians of the younger generation. I was also one of the founder members of "Estoudiantina" orchestra.
- In 1991 I launched on my own personal career with concerts and albums : Athos ο emos 1992 [Lyra], Erotokastro 1994 [FM RECORDS], Avra thalassini 1995 (in collaboration with K, Koulia), Mousikes tis Ionokis Gis 1996, Metamorphosis 1997 (GLOSSA) (in collaboration with a Spanish group), Monaha gia na taksidevo 1997 (in collaboration with A. Ioannides, K. Papadopoulou, S Papazoglou) (LYRA), Tragoudia kai skopoi tou Pontou 1998 independent production (in collaboration with M. Kaliontzides), Christos Tsiamoulis meets with Halil Carandouman 2001 (LYRA) (in collaboration with Halil Carandouman), Sas tapan alii? 2003 (Melodiko karavi) (in collaboration with Ch. Aedonides, E. - I participated with songs in the following albums: To mantili tis neraidas (Fenia Papadodima) (LYRA), Ο anthos tou tragoudiou (L. Kalimeri) (LYRA), To klidi (M. Lidakes) (AKTI).
- I participated as a singer in many albums: Katharos ouranos kai anemos einai (G. Stavrianos), Apopse stou Thoma (K. Feres), Smyrna (Estoydiadina), Alfa len to proto gramma (songs from Peloponese), Rodo tou anemou (G. Zigires), Pergamini (Ε Perinou), Melodies tis Anatolis kai Choroi ths Hellinikis Anatolis (Greek Music Archives),
- I wrote music for the plays: Paraloges 1994, Foiies gyaaikoii 1995 as well as music for the films: Gonia Paradisou 1998, Anthos tis limnis 1999, Enas lismonimenos piitis 200L
- My compositions are distinguished by the processing of contemporary elements with motives of Greek traditional and folk music and the tradition of the Eastern Mediterranean in general
- I published in collaboration with P. Erevnides a collection of songs and music with the title "Romioi sinthetes tis Polis 17th - 18th c" (Pub Domos)
- In 1990 I got my degree in Byzantine music. My teacher was Lykourgos Aggelopoulos.
- Since 1985 I have been teaching traditional instruments in conservatoires and music schools: Pnevmatiko Kentro Peristeriou, Goulandres - Horn Foundation, the Skalkota Conservatoire, the Music school of Perissos, the Music highschool of Haidari, Museum of folk instruments, Municipal Conservatoire of Patras).
- In 2003 I started working at the Athens Conservatoire where I teach the history of the Byzantine and traditional music and the theory of "Sound and Makam" in the line of postgraduate studies for the department of Byzantine music of the Conservatoire.
- Since 2004 I am responsible for the department of the Greek traditional music of the Conservatoire.
- Since 2004 I teach tamboura at the department of musicology at the University of Athens.
- I have given lots of seminars all over Greece on the subject of Greek traditional music and the act of the skill of extemporisation on makams.
- As a master oud player I took part in the first meeting of lute players in 1990 at the Pallas theatre organised by Lampros Liavas and at the International meeting for lutes in 2005 at the Athens Concert Hall which was co - organised by "En Hordes".
- As a master nei player I played with Souleiman Ergounier at the Herod Atticus Odeon during the meeting of Greek and Turkish musicians. I also took part in a concert of Turkish religious music which was given at Kos Museum during the Music Festival of Constantinople in 2003.
